Remembering Brother Bob Buckley

Message from Conrad Buckley: My Father Bob Buckley passed peacefully surrounded by his loving wife Sue, my sister Kristin, and myself on Friday night January 31, 2025. He went home to be with his Heavenly Father Yahweh. Who I am sure had open arms to embrace his son. He now has his renewed Heavenly body and has left the pain of his earthly one.

He will be greatly missed by his wife Sue. Myself, my wife Jacklin, and my kids Inara, Tobias, Théoden, and Eleanor. My sister Kristin, her husband Craig, and their daughter Evelyn.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank our family, friends, and faith community. For all your prayers, support, and love.

Our condolences to Sue and the family. We will miss our dear friend and Brother-In-Christ. If there is anything we can do, do not hesitate to ask. We have known Bob and Sue from the beginning of the BLCF Cafe Community Dinner, shared Good Friday and Easter Services over the years, fundraisers, sailing aboard their boat, and visits to the Vineyard and Catch the Fire.

Losing friends in this life is hard, even as a believer in Christ's promise of salvation and the resurrection. Remember, even Jesus wept at the passing of Lazarus before restoring life to his friend. So there is no shame in the tears shed for the loss of a Brother-in-Christ, though we believe in the resurrection, just as the Lord wept for his brother's death, knowing that God has promised a resurrection and renewal to a life eternal.

Blessings,

Pastor Steve and Sophie Mickelson
