Bluegrass Music For A Community Cause

"When you give a dinner or a banquet, do not invite your friends or your brothers or your relatives or rich neighbours, lest they also invite you in return and you be repaid. But when you give a feast, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind, and you will be blessed, because they cannot repay you. For you will be repaid at the resurrection of the just."
– Luke 14:12-14
BLCF Cafe Community Dinner is funded primarily by personal donations from benefit concerts like that given by Bluegrass Music Duo ‘A Cup of Cold Water’ where 100% of proceeds go directly to feeding homeless and marginalized people at BLCF Cafe. Since BLCF Cafe has opened its doors in January 2008 and on every Wednesday evening has served a warm meal and fellowship in a safe friendly place for upwards of 100 guests. That’s over 5,000 people fed annually. BLCF Cafe was established by Bloor Lansdowne Christian Fellowship – BLCF Church as a means of outreach to the Bloor Lansdowne Community. Since its beginnings, BLCF Cafe, located in the heart of Toronto, has been run under the auspices of BLCF Church, relying upon volunteers for service and donations for funding. BLCF Cafe Community Dinner relies upon neither corporate sponsorship nor volunteer fees or contributions, preferring to rely solely upon the contributions of faithful supporters who share our vision of helping the homeless and marginalized. BLCF Cafe’s Mission Statement:
'Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.' - Matthew 25:40
